World's Strongest Man

In 2021, 27–year–old Tom Stoltman, from Invergordon, Ross and Cromarty, became the first Scottish and the fifth British winner of World's Strongest Man.

The UK's first winner, and the one that everyone remembers, was the former Olympic shot putter Geoff Capes (1983 and 1985). The second was Jamie Reeves – a former coal miner, from Sheffield (1989); and the third was former weightlifter Gary Taylor, from Cardiff (1993).
